Hi, I'm Bo and I'm the guy behind ThinnerEveryday.com.

Back in 2011 when I lost over 20 lbs.

I've been overweight since my college years.  I was always chubby when I was young, but most of the serious weight was gained during my college years, and after I got married.  I've tried to lose weight for many many years, but as you can see from my previous posts, I've failed a number of times.  Since I started this blog, I failed at least 3 times.

During my last weight loss attempt in 2011, I lost 20lbs, but after the auto accident, I regained everything back plus few more pounds.  Now, I'm at between 213-215 depending on which time of the day I weigh myself.

It is really embarrassing to show all my failures on this blog, but I'm not going to erase the posts, and use them as reminder that I can't fail again.  To be honest, I'm not as motivated as I used to be.  I just know I have no choice but to lose some weight and get healthy before my health condition reaches a point where I can't reverse it.  I'm afraid of becoming a diabetic, like a number of our family & relatives suffer.

My hope with restarting this blog is to motivate myself, and really reach my goal of 170lbs and healthy body composition.  I really don't want to fail this time again.

I know that the first step is the hardest step when it comes to start exercising and changing old habits.  I consider updating my blog as a big step.

If you are going through a similar situation as mine, I actually want to know more about you and possibly go through this journey together.

Hi and thanks for visiting my diet blog. My name is Bo and I'd like to tell you little bit about me and why I started this diet blog. I've gained about 40 lbs in the last 4 years, since I was married. One day, I've noticed that non of my favorite clothes fit. To make the matters worse, I've also realized that I'm starting to see the symptoms of obesity such as gynecomastia and stretch marks on my skin!

I was ashamed of myself and felt helpless for a while. I've signed-up for a gym membership and worked really hard for about 3 months and nothing really happened. Some said my metabolism is messed up and some said it's all from stress. Well, after reading books after books on weight loss, I've come to realization that the only way to lose weight is to eat less and exercise more.

That's what I'm doing with my weight loss journey. I'm going to eat less, and eat healthier foods. Make better choice here and there. This blog is for me and the people who are going through the same challenges. I'm simply logging my progress and share weight loss tips as I find them useful. I've already failed numerous times, but keep trying until I reach my weight loss goal.

Hi Bo! First of all I’d like to wish you the best of luck on you weight loss journey. My name is Maryjane, I’m 39 years old, luckily still married :) and have a pretty good life overall. If you don’t take into account my problems with having no energy, not cooking on a daily basis, and trying to get out of cleaning and washing every chance I can. My latest tactic(excuse) is “I’m having a migraine” I just wanted to know how you got your Blog started? I would like to create a blog for myself only, to track my footsteps on a daily basis, to mark my progress, and to see what I may be doing wrong, and what I maybe doing right! If you could help me I would greatly appreciate it very much! I also have some diet tips for you if I may? I love drinking orange juice in the morning, but sometime ago when I spoke with a nutrionist she informed me that orange juice is a no-no, so what I do now is I will get a 16-ounce glass and pour 8-ounces of orange juice and 8-ounces of cold water, or you can even try 8-ounces of carbonated oranged flavored water, it works really well. You can also do this with your favorite juice. Well, I have many more tips, but, I’ll wait to hear from you first to see if you’d like anymore tips. Bo, I stumbled upon your blog quite by accident today, and I want to applaud you for making the decision to become a better and healthier you. :-) So many times on my own journey toward making healthier choices I get sidetracked and lose focus, your blog shows me that it IS possible to achieve a goal. The journey is not perfect, and the battles are sometimes tiring, but we can’t afford to just give up…this is life, you don’t get a ‘do over’, it’s a one shot deal, so we better make the most of what we have…Right??
My weight loss journey has been a long one, but it’s inspired me to study more and I’ve made it my mission to be a helper and an encouragement to those who are dealing with the same struggles I have. I am back in college double majoring in Psychology and Dietetics. I want to be able to help people with both sides of the obesity issue, not only the outward addiction to food, but also the inner demons that go along with it.

Thank you again for your blog…you truly are an inspiration. :-)

This may not be the way you want to lose weight. In fact you may not feel you have enough weight to lose to consider this program. However, what I have found is that I am losing weight on it. I feel part of it is that I swung from not enough calories to too many. This plan assures a steady amount spread over the entire day. It was developed by doctors and tested at John Hopkins. Not all “shake” plans are the same. http://www.medifast1.com Consider it.

Hi Bo!

I sympathize with your struggle. As a child, I was pretty overweight. At age 12, my mom was buying pants for me in the men’s section, 36 waist. What turned it around for me was in college, I discovered cycling. Commuting to school by bike (roughly a 10 mile trip) helped bring the weight down a lot. After (and I don’t recommend this for everyone) I became a NYC bike messenger. Suddenly, I had the opposite problem; I couldn’t keep weight on (I was also vegetarian at the time)! I don’t ride 8 hours a day anymore, but even just the commute by bike helps burn many many calories.

Hello Bo! I am so glad you have decided to d othis for yourself. I am fourteen years old and have watched my mother struggle with her weight all of my life. Finally, she made the decision to turn her life around, for her family, and for herself. I know what it takes to do this, and I know you can do it! Do not give up, you will reach your goal, just like my mother did.
